Freighter Golf challenge opens

Beginning Thursday, August 25, the National Museum of the Great Lakes invites visitors to take a swing on its custom built putting greens aboard the Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship. Created to celebrate the sport of golf, this year the event boasts two putting greens and is scheduled to coincide with the Dana Open presented by Marathon, an LPGA tour stop taking place nearby in Sylvania. …
